Last night I started reading When the Stars Go Blue by Caridad Ferrer. It counts for my What's in a Name challenge since one of my themes is Dance.
"Turning, soaring, feeling the hum of the strings like a caress along my skin, the notes from the brass and woodwinds swirling around my body like a cape."
How wonderful is that?! A dancer in tune with the music and loving it!
Great imagery of how the music affects her (?--I get the sense it's a her. Maybe just because of the cover).

That's a pretty sentence! I've not heard of this one, but I like the idea of dance as the main theme. Now I feel like watching Step Up!

ReplyDeleteAths--I haven't ever read a book with dance as a central theme, it's one of the reasons I chose it for the challenge. Ah, Step Up... we've seen all three!
