I don't usually get books in the mail so imagine my surprise when I got three this week!
During Ramadan Carina at Reading Through Life did a whole month of reading books about Islam, Muslims and the Middle East. I won a copy of The Ayatollah Begs to Differ: the paradox of modern Iran by Hooman Majd.
Stacey Barney over at Penguin Young Readers Group sent me two books: The Trouble with Half a Moon by Danette Vigilante (to be released January 2011) and Sparrow Road by Sheila O'Connor (to be released May 2011).
Have you read these books? Heard anything about them?
I'm planning to read The Trouble with Half a Moon soon. I'll be looking forward to see what you think. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't get many books in the mail either. I'm always envious at the amazing hauls on many bloggers' mailbox mondays!
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a fun thing to get books in the mail!
ReplyDeleteKaty--Can't wait to see what you think of Half a Moon
ReplyDeleteRhapsody--I am envious of the people who get lots of books in the mail, but I know that if I did I would be overwhelmed and feel pressure to read them
Alyce--It is fun; kind of like Christmas or your Birthday
